I choose to trust.

I have so many questions Lord; I don’t have answers for,

I thought I knew your will for me, but you have shut the door,

But I know you love me, without you I’d be lost,

I know the price you paid, the cost was a cross,

So I choose to trust even when I don’t understand,

I choose to trust you, Lord take me by the hand,

Lord show me the pathway you want my feet to trod,

I choose to trust you, my Lord and my God,

I choose to trust because of your nail-scarred hand,

Lord help me trust you, and your heavenly plan.

Psalm 125:1

They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion,

which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.

If you had a million dollars, and you had to spend it on two houses. The one house you would live a day in, the other the rest of your life. Which house would you put the most money in? – from Forever Rich

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,

That there may be food in My house,

And try Me now in this,”

Says the Lord of hosts,

“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven

And pour out for you such blessing

That there will not be room enough to receive it. Mal. 3:10

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matt.

It is True

People try to water down the Bible. They say things like, “The walls of Jericho fell down because of an earthquake,” or “The children of Israel crossed the Jordan river on dry land because there was an avalanche upstream blocking the water flow.” Some have even gone so far as to say that, “at a certain point you can cross the Red Sea in ankle deep water.” Wait! that means the the crossing of the Red Sea was even a greater miracle then we first thought, because the entire Egyptian army drowned in ankle deep water!  🙂

If you try to rationalize away God’s miracles, you will try to rationalize away God’s biggest miracle. Salvation!

Good Works

Today in the world around us morality is incredibly low. People think that if they do good it will somehow erase the bad. The problem is that good does not erase  the bad. Think about it, if I scar my face and then ever after I take care of my face, i.e. putting lotion on, etc, the scar will still be there, no amount of good that I do to my face will make the scar go away. Although I can use makeup and try to hide the scar it will still always be there. Picture your life as a mirror, and when you sin you get a black blotch on it, even if you do good it won’t work the Bible says, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:4” Have you ever tried to clean a mirror with a filthy rag? It just doesn’t work. For this reason, we can’t clean ourselves by doing good. The only way we can get perfectly clean is if someone lived a perfect life and was a perfectly clean cloth, and then that person takes on our dirtiness and gives us his cleanliness. That person was Jesus Christ.
